announcing RossNetwork

context
Throughout my high school years, I consistently sought out opportunities by participating in many different events, connecting with people who shared my interests, and gaining knowledge from every available source.
Recently, I've continued this habit of attending various events, ranging from conferences to olympiads. However, after many years, I've started to feel that discovering and organizing these experiences can be somewhat chaotic and overwhelming.
Participating at the "Hackers Warm Up" event, organized for the upcoming ETH Bucharest hackathon, I've had the chance to meet Christian Gheorghe, the founder of 2050 HUB, a platform designed to connect startups, investors, and service providers. He and his platform gave me the inspiration and motivation to create a place dedicated to making networking for developers easier.
introducing RossNetwork
RossNetwork is a platform similar to a social media application, that focuses on offering and promoting networking opportunities among developers. It will allow event organizers to promote their events and explore developer profiles, showcasing their personal projects, and experience.
features
- Create personalized profiles showcasing their career, projects, and achievements.
- Meet people with similar interests
- Discover and engage in events for professional networking.
- Use of AI powered tools, to sum up information relevant to your profile (from LinkedIn, personal website etc.)
what makes it special?
At first glance, the platform might seem similar to others, for example the features covered so far are not adding any unique value compared to an application like LinkedIn.
The unique value proposition lies in focusing on events tailored for young developers. As mentioned earlier, opportunities for high school students are often inaccessible to their intended audience. By promoting RossNetwork within the community of aspiring developers, it can become the go-to platform for young talents to begin honing their skills early.
current status + next steps
The platform will be hosted at: https://rossnetwork.org. Currently developing a MVP, while simultaneously working to maximize its reach. The feedback I've received so far has been highly positive, and I believe that with enough dedication, this project has the potential to thrive in the near future.
